The Good Detective Review

Review by Jim

For me, The Good Detective by John McMahon was worth reading by the third page, which included the line: “If brains were leather, this guy didn’t have enough to saddle a June bug.” The place is a middling town in the state of Georgia. The speaker is Detective P. T. Marsh, at a morally expedient time in his life. Think LA Confidential, southern-style.
