Deborah Marcero is back again with a picture book starring an adorable rabbit – and jars. In Out of a Jar, Llewellyn loves all things scary – except for the feeling of fear. Not sure what to do with this difficult feeling, he finally finds it best to put in a jar and store it away. He quickly begins to do that with all his different feelings until his storage space is a little too full.
My son asked for this book over and over, and I couldn’t have been more pleased! The book is chocked full of not just fantastic illustrations but also great vocabulary. Most importantly, from my perspective as a parent, this allows for great discussions about the importance of feeling emotions and learning to deal with them. This is a great story – and a fabulous conversation starter!
