In the book Financial First Aid: Essential Tools for Confident, Secure Money Management, author Alyssa Davies offers a comprehensive guide on all the financial questions a person could ask. There are several personal stories that helped me connect with the ideas presented in the book. I like how the book shuts down negative self-talk around earlier money mistakes and focuses more on learning from those mistakes to move forward. The thought of having multiple savings accounts is an interesting idea presented that I have never considered. I also found the discussion about the reality of a family member dying and what are the necessary steps to be financially prepared for the death of a family member is something I usually never heard of when thinking about your finances. All around an informative book if you want to further your financial literacy.
